Today was the training for sign language interpreters.

The exam for sign language interpreters in Japan is very difficult and the pass rate is less than 10%.

Most of the interpreters are women, and there are only a few in their 20s and 30s.

The salary is also low, and very few people work as interpreters full time.

My main job is as a nurse, and sign language interpreting is my second job (although I retired early).

One of these days I'll actually introduce Japanese sign language!
