I completed four items on my bucket list in one day.
Four things I enjoyed
- Trying dojo (loach), a small freshwater fish
- Visiting one of Ginza’s historic cafés
- Trying a Michelin-listed rice ball
- Visiting Tsukiji Hongwanji Temple
The most memorable stop
The dojo restaurant featured in the manga Shima Kosaku was especially fun. There were no tables—just a traditional counter-style dining room. The atmosphere felt very different from a typical restaurant, and that made the experience memorable.
Enjoying life after FIRE
One reason I like keeping a bucket list is that it gives me small, enjoyable goals. I do not have to rush through all of them. I can simply choose one, make a day of it, and appreciate the experience.
I am also grateful that dividend income helps support this kind of relaxed lifestyle. A day spent exploring Tokyo, eating something new, and checking off a few personal goals felt like a wonderful use of time.
