I was a nurse, so my work schedule was called the "third shift.

  • 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
  • 5 p.m. to 2 a.m.
  • 1 a.m. to 10 a.m.

There is also a "second shift" work schedule.

  • 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
  • 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 a.m. (you work two days)

I'm sure it's the same all over the world, but working the night shift is hard work, isn't it?

The good thing about retiring early was that I no longer had to work nights.
